Seattle Senior Therapy is seeking compassionate and dedicated licensed mental health professionals to provide virtual counseling services to older adults throughout Washington State. As a Mental Health Therapist for Seniors, you will provide evidence-based therapy for older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, caregiver stress, loneliness, and other emotional challenges. We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of the senior population.

About Seattle Senior Therapy

  • Provide individual telehealth counseling sessions for older adults.

  • Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.

  • Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, caregiver burnout, and major life transitions.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality client care.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches appropriate for older adults.

  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Active Washington State license in one of the following:

    • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

    • LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)

    • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)

  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Experience providing psychotherapy to adults or older adults.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to provide services through a secure telehealth platform.

  • Comfortable using electronic health record systems and online documentation tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with older adults or geriatric populations.

  • Knowledge of aging-related mental health concerns.

  • Experience supporting clients through grief, retirement, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, and major life transitions.

  • Previous telehealth counseling experience.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches for anxiety, depression, and adjustment-related concerns.
